I did my EFT Practitioner training with Founder Master Trainer Tania A. Prince in Manchester. She is one of the few who originally trained with Gary Craig, the innovator of EFT.
I am accredited by AAMET (The Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques) at Level 3 Advanced Practitioner Status. You can view my profile at https://www.aametinternational.org
I have received up-to-date specialist EFT training in Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable adults.
As well as my current work as an EFT practitioner, in which I specialise in working with Parents and Children, I am also a Freelance Writer. I write about Health, Parenting and Education and have had several recent publications. My main goal as a writer, is to raise awareness about EFT and its amazing potential, particularly for children, young people and their parents.
I love people. I have always found the human mind fascinating. I am highly motivated to support, empower and encourage people and especially children to find happiness and reach their potential.
I have a particular interest in the fields of Developmental and Humanistic Psychology and my practice is heavily influenced by the work of John Bowlby - Attachment Theory.
I studied Applied Psychology at The Liverpool John Moores University and achieved a 2(I).
I went on to achieve a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Edge Hill University and I worked with children and families as a Primary Class Teacher and Reading Recovery Specialist for 10 years in Toxteth, Liverpool. I worked predominantIy with children with multiple barriers to learning including socio-economic factors, attachment disorder, emotional behavioural issues as well as specific learning needs such as Dyslexia and/or EAL - English as an Additional Language.
I became particularly interested in emotional intelligence and creativity and how these influence behaviour, identity and self-esteem.
I also worked for North Mersey Community NHS Trust / Mersey Care NHS Trust for 3 years, based at Rathbone Hospital and then later at Mossley Hill Hospital, Liverpool. I worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support individuals with severe and enduring mental illness to gain therapeutic employment opportunities, both paid and voluntary, in order to accelerate recovery rates and promote healing potential after times of crisis, negative life events and periods in hospital.
My EFT story
I have been studying EFT and Energy Psychology for 4 years now. With enormous gratitude to the EFT community who are predominantly philanthropic, who just want to get this out into the world for the benefit of others, I originally taught myself EFT by watching videos online and reading books and was amazed at how empowering it was and how easy!
Triggered by a traumatic event, I started to use EFT to overcome some emotional issues rooted in my past. Before I knew it, I had uncovered a multitude of unconscious limiting beliefs about myself that I never realised I had.
Unexpectedly, I managed to cure myself of a chronic anxiety disorder! It just disappeared...
Suddenly the chronic lower back pain (that my doctor had previously informed me I would have forever and it would only get worse...) also just disappeared!
Interestingly, I never actually used EFT specifically focusing on my back problem - I just shifted the negative emotion that had manifested that way in my body and the symptoms vanished!
I also effortlessly lost 18 pounds in weight and found the courage to leave a job that I realised was limiting me. This enabled me to begin a new and exciting freelance career!
These positive changes happened to me spontaneously because EFT had helped me to surface and release unconscious negative emotions and negative patterns of behaviour and thinking. I realised that although you can't change the past, you can change the way you feel about it! It blew my mind and I felt totally diferent and free! The potential of EFT hit me like a train and I was hooked!
Having come from a background in Education and in Mental Health Services, I can see clearly how EFT would fit. I want to be involved in the mainstreaming of EFT and plan to take it into schools and hospitals in the future; It is a skill that is easy to learn, it is personally empowering, it is free if you do it yourself and it works!
The absence of any negative side effects from EFT, compared to the multitude of damaging risks mainstream pharmaceuticals present, point to the inevitability of EFT's rise in popularity.
In fact, the only side effect of EFT is actual healing and fast healing at that!
Changes are already being reflected in medical literature and recent headlines regarding the new field of Epigenetics and in particular, changes in scientific perceptions about how much gene expression is actually now thought to be affected by environmental variables.
The good news here is that we are all actually in control of our own healing, through our thoughts, intentions, emotions and beliefs, and not, as used to be mainstream opinion, at the mercy of our genes.
People across the world should know about EFT, particularly the vulnerable living in poverty and deprivation.
I have been very inspired by The Tapping Solution Foundation in the US. They are tapping with high school communities who have experienced shooting tragedies. An associate of theirs, Dr. Lori Leydon is empowering and turning round whole communities in Rwanda with tapping who have witnessed genocide. There is already a lot of tapping going on in schools in Australia, the US and Canada. Our own NHS already has fledgling EFT services around the UK.
I believe that many of the problems of the world have an emotional root and are caused by limiting beliefs: International conflict, gender inequality, social immobility, radicalisation, austerity and the distribution of wealth. We certainly haven't reached our evolutionary potential yet...
How about the obesity epidemic and auto-immune disease? More and more evidence is becoming available that emotions and beliefs are a huge variable here too, that traditional medical services just don't fully address.
What about ADHD? The evidence is everywhere, in every school, in every class, that children are just reacting to a system which doesn't allow them to initiate their own learning, express themselves creatively or even be recognised as a unique individual.
Recent developments and evidence currently becoming available, suggest that EFT in some cases has been seen to improve anxiety levels in Autism and reading function in Dyslexia...the far reaching potential of EFT is staggering!
What if EFT and other Energy Psychology modalities that acknowledge the significance and impact of emotion on health, education, behaviour and society, are providing us with a new way of working with global issues and epidemics?
This is just the beginning of dramatic change and new perspectives.
EFT is cutting edge...
